Brigitte Brown is the daughter of Ethel Louise Belton, a plaintiff in Delaware鈥檚 Belton (Bulah) v. Gebhart case that was later consolidated as part of the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court case.

Brigitte was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, and attended the University of Delaware on an academic scholarship, graduating with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in fine arts/visual communications and a minor in biology. In 2015, Brigitte launched a consulting and contracting company called B.I.G. Consulting and Contracting; B.I.G. stands for 鈥淏ecause I鈥檓 a Girl.鈥
